Custom Process Skids

The Ability To Build Them, The Stability To Back Them:

Custom designed, fabricated, assembled and tested lube and seal oil systems by A & A Machine & Fabrication, LLC are available to refiners, petrochemical and chemical processors and industrial plants worldwide. Now, from one source, plant operators can get reliable pressure lubricating equipment and controls that meet all requirements and specifications. A & A Machine builds lube and seal oil systems to comply with API 610, 614 and 617. Units are skid-mounted for transportation anywhere in the world. They feature:

  • ASME Code Vessels # Pressure Piping
  • Compliance with API 610, 614 and 617 and Customer Specifications

Systems To Meet Your Needs:

A & A Lube and Seal Oil Systems are used to provide constant lubrication and protection of compressors, steam and gas turbines, diesel engines, machine tools, large centrifugal pumps and gear reducers, and many other machines. We thoroughly understand the important role of these relatively inexpensive lube and seal oil systems in protecting major capital investments. You can be assured that our craftsmen will carefully integrate the hardware and controls of each system so that it meets optimum working requirements.

A Typical System:

Oil flow rate, pressure and viscosity are determined by the requirements of the equipment being lubricated. Typically, oil is furnished from a reservoir to the pump through a 60-100 mesh suction strainer, and raised to the pressure demanded by the machine. A filter is recommended in the pump discharge line to prevent solid contaminants from entering the machine. A relief valve in the discharge line of the positive displacement pump is essential to limit the oil pressure to a predetermined maximum. The oil is diverted to several lines to furnish lubrication throughout the machine, and then drains back to the sump, reservoir, or crankcase, where the pump again picks it up.

A heat exchanger may be required to maintain correct oil temperature and viscosity. Reservoirs must be designed to minimize air entrainment in the oil. It is always prudent to install pressure and temperature alarms. A & A recognizes that the inlet conditions under which a pump is required to operate are extremely important. The system must insure adequate flow and pressure to the pump. Cold start oil viscosities should be considered, in addition to static lift, size of strainers, length and diameter of pipe, number of elbows, etc. We furnish pumps with capacities as low as 1 GPM or as high as 3300 GPM. They are available for integral flange mounting on rotating machinery, or independently driven, requiring separate power sources such as electric motors, turbines, etc.

More Than A Machine Shop:

A & A Machine & Fabrication, LLC has been growing steadily since we began in 1957. Founded with a 1200 sq. ft. shop, A&A now offers all the services of a complete machine tool operation, and more. Our present manufacturing facility encompasses over 70,000 sq. ft. under roof and houses computer controlled machinery and special purpose equipment. More importantly, we employ craftsmen who constantly strive to be the best at their trade.

Our primary consideration is to meet customer's requirements as completely as possible, even to providing 24-hour emergency service.
