Alan started with A&A in 1978, working during summers. He joined the company full time in 1990 as a Machine Shop Coordinator, was promoted to Fab Shop Coord. in 1996, Fabrication Manager in 1999, General Manager in 2005, Vice-President in 2008 and President, CEO, and owner in 2009. His responsibilities include daily Management of the Manufacturing Facility and Staff. Alan works closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager to insure for the financial stability and integrity of A&A. Alan holds a B.S. in Engineering Technology (Manufacturing) from Texas A&M University.

After completing his apprenticeship and six years as a Machinist, David became the Machine Dept. Foreman in 1988, was promoted to Department Manager in 2005, and Vice President and owner in 2009. He is responsible for supervising all the staff in the daily activities of the Machine Dept. and the CNC dept. including job planning, material takeoffs, and coordination between Machine and Fabrication Dept.’s.

Kraig joined A&A as Fabrication and Engineering Manager in May of 2013. He has over 20 years of manufacturing experience in industries ranging from high tech repetitive manufacturing to job shop discrete fabrication. His responsibilities have included technical and leadership roles ranging from manufacturing engineering, facility management, and plant management. Kraig holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Murray State University and an M.B.A. from University of Houston-Victoria.

Andy attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and has over 10 years experience in the petrochemical field in the fabrication of vessels, above ground storage tanks, and piping systems.

Machining Operations Manager: BILL STRABALA
Bill started machining in 1990 at a small shop in Ohio doing maintenance machining and building engines. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1993, where he started Repairing Nuclear valves including valve seats overlayed with stellite for use on fast attack nuclear powered submarines. In 1995, Bill was stationed at Sima Norfolk where he served as a machinist doing urgent repairs to ships deploying from the Atlantic fleet. He left the Navy in 1997 where he went to work as a machinist in a job shop machining everything from 85 Ton overhead crane Frames and gear boxes to machining and assembling rail car movers for the railroad. In 1999, Bill was promoted to shop foreman where he oversaw the machine and fabrication shop while also doing the machining estimating. In 2009 , Bill was made plant Superintendent and performed that job until 2013 when he left Ohio for warmer weather in Texas and joined the A&A team. Now Bill oversees the daily machining operations and production of quality parts with approximately 20 direct reports. He reports to the Vice-President and Owner David V.

Marie started with A&A in 2011 and has over 20 years of experience in accounting with the last 15 being in manufacturing. Her expertise is in financial and cost accounting. Marie graduated from Central Missouri State University with a BSBA in Accounting and Finance in 1989 and earned her MA in Accounting in 1991.

Human Resources and Safety Manager: BRIAN WILHELM

Brian is the Human Resources Manager and Safety Manager for A&A.  He is responsible for the payroll and benefits administration, recruiting, hiring, and wellness program, as well as the safety of the employees.  Brian received an Associates degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Marketing from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, and a Master’s degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has over twenty (20) years of experience in human resources and seven (7) years in safety.  Brian is a retired 30-year Air Force veteran.

Douglas joined the A&A team in September 2022 as the Information Technology & Systems Manager. He has over 13-years of experience in maintaining network and computer equipment in a business setting. Computers have always been a passion of his and he continues to perfect his craft. Douglas holds an Associate of Arts (AA) with a minor in Computer Networking and System Administration from Texas State Technical College. Douglas interfaces with all members of A&A by managing the information technology system as well as keeping all network equipment healthy and working properly.

Before joining A&A Machine & Fabrication, Technical Sales Representative, Damon Chen spent over a decade honing his extensive skills in sales, marketing, and customer relations in the oil and gas capital equipment machinery manufacturers. As a strong communicator, Damon takes extraordinary pride in building solid relationships with clients, whether on the phone, in person, or via email. He strives to always help clients as much as possible by being an active listener, discussing their current and potential issues, and providing effective solutions. Damon also enjoys the educational component of the Oil and Gas industry, as it offers many opportunities for business development.

Before joining A&A, Damon served as a regional sales manager and procurement manager, for two different machinery manufacturers, where he supervised junior sales and field service personnel and provided support on sales components and customer service to help grow their accounts. Because of his years of experience as a manager, he understands the importance of self-discipline and encouraging others, and is excited to apply his talents and experience to his new role at A&A Machine & Fabrication.

Taylor completed an internship at A&A in 2006 before graduating in 2008 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Cessna Aircraft before joining A&A in 2010. He is primarily responsible for generating engineering drawings for many of the Fabrication projects and earned his Professional Engineer’s license in 2014.

Bryn started his career in quality and manufacturing in 1994, bringing to the table ample knowledge in, but not limited to NDE, welding, and code and standards compliance: ASME Sect. VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4/B31.8, API 1104, AWS D1.1, and ISO 9001. Additionally, he carries certifications in AWS CWI and ASNT ACCP VT Level II for general and pressure equipment. Previous certifications include Level II in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, Visual Inspection (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Radiographic Interpretation (RTI), and Positive Material Identification (PMI). Prior to his joining A&A, Bryn spent the best part of 17 years running multiple shops simultaneously throughout the Houston area and spanning into Oklahoma.

Steve has spent the last twenty-four years mastering the art of welding, specializing in pipe and vessel fabrication. From crafting intricate designs to ensuring the safety and integrity of each project, Steve has honed his skills to a high level. Now as A&A’s Fabrication Superintendent, he is responsible for ensuring project schedule, overseeing budget and making sure quality requirements are achieved or exceeded. Steve brings valuable years of experience to the A&A team and contributes daily to the organization’s effectiveness.

David began working at A&A as a helper in the Fabrication Dept. for the summer of 1984. David continued his education and returned to A&A in May of 1985 as a full time employee working in the Fabrication Dept. In 1987 David began working as an apprentice in A&A’s CNC department. David continued to hone his skills over the years and now serves as CNC foreman, overseeing the CNC floor operations.

Chuck Mutina hired on with A&A in March of 2014 and was part of the manual machine shop. Chuck was given the offer of Machine Shop Estimator in January of 2015 but still makes time to work in the shop when he can. Prior to A&A, Chuck has 12 years experience in management and sales and an additional 9 years in manual and CNC machining.

I received an Associate’s degree in Aerospace Maintenance from the Community College of the Air Force.

I served in the Air Force for 8 years, with 6 years being at Dyess AFB as a heavy aircraft mechanic on C-130 aircraft.  In my final 2 years of military service, I transitioned into Aircraft Structural fabrication working on F-16 Fighter aircraft where I designed, repaired, modified and fabricated aircraft, metal, plastic, composite, advanced composite, low observables, and bonded structural parts and components.

I was hired by A&A in 2023 as the machine shop coordinator; responsibilities include the movement of jobs between the Machining and Fabrication departments, updating customers on sales orders, initiating the billing process by completing and processing all documentation regarding work performed, and working closely with our shipping/receiving team to ensure all orders are delivered on time to both foreign and domestic customers.
